As Chief Operations Officer for Larr Policy Consulting, Amy Welty possesses more than 15 years of office administration, paralegal and human resource experience. Amy oversees the firm’s financial operations including client billing and collections, accounts payable and budgeting. She is responsible for the day to day operations of the firm as well as lobbying registration and reporting requirements.
Prior to starting with Larr Policy Consulting since its conception in January of 2012, Amy worked in several HR and Paralegal positions. Most recently, she was Human Resource Director for Chester Willcox and Saxbe, LLP, where she worked closely with the COO and CFO on benefit administration, organizational development, policy and procedures and employee relations. Prior to her tenure at CWS, she was Human Resource Director for an architectural firm. There she worked with the Partners of the firm overseeing all aspects of the human resource function including strategic planning, succession planning, performance management, benefit administration, policy and procedures and marketing. She successfully designed and implemented a performance management program including job descriptions, performance appraisal system and training for employees and managers. She was involved in strategic planning for the firm which included the management of transitioning the firm through a major office move.
Amy started her career as a paralegal for a real estate development company, where she provided support to Corporate Counsel and the CFO. She was involved in the coordination of closing documents and construction draws for numerous multi-million dollar development projects.
Amy obtained her Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies and currently holds a PHR certification in human resource management.
